Event Description

This Spring Break, get ready for an all-new adventure at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site with our Spring Break Salmon Run!

Every year, Pacific salmon brave the challenges of the West Coast’s waters to return to the homes where they were born, where they will lay eggs of their own and restart the salmon lifecycle. For a limited time only, take the place of the salmon and complete your own journey up and down the Cannery, facing series of salmon-themed activities, and return triumphant to your home stream!

Visitors who complete all of the Cannery’s challenges will receive an exclusive prize connected to the theme of the salmon lifecycle. Swim on down to the Cannery this Spring Break to see if you’re up to the challenge!

Event Details

  • Spring Break Salmon Run activities will be available daily from 10 am-5 pm
  • Limited time: March 15-30, 2025
  • Regular admission fees apply: Adults 18+ $13.25, Youth under 17 – FREE
  • Activities are self-guided; activity booklets are best for ages 6-12, younger visitors may require some adult support.

Exclusive Spring Break activities include:

  • Salmon Run Challenge activity booklet featuring activity stations throughout the site.
  • Timed showings of the Bob Turner film “Pacific Salmon and their Circle of Life” in the Cannery’s Boiler House Theatre.
  • Visitors who complete all Salmon Run activities will receive an exclusive prize related to the salmon and their lifecycle.
