Event Description

Join the Gulf of Georgia Cannery to celebrate the official opening of the all-new feature exhibit Cannery REcollections: Redefining Storytelling through Objects. What is the significance of the objects we keep in our lives?  How do museum collect objects, and why are the stories they tell worth sharing? Cannery REcollections: Redefining Storytelling through Objects explores how everyday items serve as touchstones connecting us to people, places, and moments in time, revealing the many ways we experience and interpret history.
The official opening event will include musical performances from Willy Blizzard, an introduction to the exhibit from Collections & Exhibits Manager Heidi Rampfl, and first-look access to the all-new interactive exhibit!
