Join us on B.C. Family Day February 18th, as we present a day of fishy-fun for the whole family, at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site in Steveston.
See the canning line machines in action at 11am, 1pm and 3pm when we will present machine demonstrations, to show how technology changed the speed and efficiency of the canning process. Guided tours will be offered throughout the day, as well as fishy crafts for the little ones to enjoy. Don’t forget to ask for a Parks Canada Xplorer booklet for some fun activities to help in your discovery of our historic past (suitable for kids 6-11 years old), and receive a souvenir gift.
It will also be a great day to explore the interactive Pull of the Net exhibit, which is entering its final few weeks before our new Spring exhibit is installed.
Admission for Youth 17 years old and under is free at all Parks Canada sites.
