October 11th 2025 - October 25th 2025

Join the Gulf of Georgia Cannery and Ocean Legacy in hosting 2025's One Ocean Film Tour film series, a unique mini-film festival sharing the wonders of oceans and waterways locally and globally, the threats and challenges our waters face, and the ways in which humans connect with and protect them.

About the Event

In connection to this year’s Haunted Sea, get ready for a special collaboration between the Gulf of Georgia Cannery, Ocean Legacy, and the One Ocean Film Tour! Join us weekly for one-time only screenings of 2025’s short film programme, highlighting the beauty, diversity, and importance of our oceans, the marine life that inhabits them, and us.

First, take a guided trip through The Haunted Sea, as you travel from the shoreline to the deep ocean in our upcycled-plastic experience. Next, visit the Cannery’s historic Boiler House Theatre for special access to a series of films from the One Ocean Film Tour Vol. 5 playlist. Finally, take a trip to Ocean Legacy to view their facilities and learn about the work they do to keep plastic from our oceans!

About the One Ocean Film Tour

The One Ocean Film Tour is a world-class series of ocean-loving films focused on adventure, the aquatic environment and inspirational stories. The tour was created in 2020 with the vision to increase awareness about ocean protection and conservation by sharing films made by people who have dedicated their lives to the ocean and all her glory. One Ocean Film Tour is a spectacular visual journey in itself. Join us! Immerse yourself in the mighty power of One Ocean!

Each Saturday screening session will feature a programme of three films from 2025’s Official Playlist. Additionally, each screening session will feature one film from One Ocean’s Bonus Playlist that dives into North American oceans and marine life. Attendees of all ages are welcome to join us in learning about the importance of our oceans, marine life, and our cultural connections to the waters!

We share the Earth with the creatures and animals of the world’s waters. In many cultures, waterways and marine life hold sacred connections to humanity. In this screening session, broaden your understanding of the relationships between people and water, and how we can take care of one another.
