The Tall Ships Festival is set to return to Steveston for three days next June. As with any large event, budgets are regularly exceeded and this festival is no exception. Coun. Greg Halsey-Brandt was the only councillor disagreeing with the new $1.6 million infrastructure bill for the event.
Hasley-Brandt is having trouble swallowing the figure, which he says is almost three times the $550,000 he agreed to earlier this year.
