Cannery Farmers’ Market
Steveston’s winter food and artisan market, held at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site, features locally baked, grown, caught & crafted products, seasonal events & activities for all ages, and performances by home-grown musicians and entertainers.
Operated by the Gulf of Georgia Cannery Society, the market also features community organizations for special in-market events. This coming season we will continue to grow our partnerships with the Richmond Food Security Society(RFSS) and The Sharing Farm.
Free Food Skills Demonstrations by the RFSS will take place on the Cannery Stage (indoors) on the following dates:
October 6th, 2019 – 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm – Fermentation
December 8th, 2019 – 1 pm to 3 pm – Plant-Based Holiday Dishes
February 23rd, 2020– 1 pm to 3 pm – Easy Healthy Lunches and Snacks
April 5th, 2020 – 1 pm to 3 pm – Stocking the Pantry

The Cannery Farmers’ Market takes place both indoors and outside of the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site in Steveston village at 12138 Fourth Avenue, Richmond V7E 3J1 (at the corner of Moncton and 3rd Ave), rain or shine (or snow!). Admission to the museum is FREE on market days.
