The first annual Wild B.C. Seafood Fest will take place at Fisherman’s Park, in front of the Gulf of Georgia Cannery, this Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm. Admission to the festival is free, so come out and enjoy B.C. seafood this weekend. Don’t forget to visit the Cannery while you’re here!
The festival is the perfect opportunity to learn about the amazing variety of B.C. seafood and get tips on how to buy, store, and prepare it. Local chefs will also demonstrate their innovative recipes!
This year’s special guest chefs include: Jeff Van Geest (Executive Chef/Owner of Aurora Bistro) who will feature contemporary west coast creations; Manuel Ferreira (Owner of Le Gavroche and Senova Restaurants) who will be presenting Mediterranean inspired creations; and, Stephen Wong (Vancouver journalist, food and beverage consultant and cookbook author) who will be presenting Asian inspired recipes.
