It’s our 2014 batch of Coho salmon eggs!
Come to the Cannery to take a peek at our little ones – if you look really closely, you can even see their eyes. As these eggs would naturally be buried under gravel in the river at this point, their newly developed eyes are particularly sensitive to the light. This is why we keep their tank in a special case which is insulated to keep them cool and dark.
If you ask any of our staff, we’d be happy to open up the door, show them to you and tell you all about them. After all, we get attached over the course of winter – they’re our babies!
