This week features multiple recipes as the Ocean Wise Cookbook blog lists several delicious meals from their latest selection to hit the shelves. The best part of the book is that it features sustainable seafood. I confess these recipes are a bit outside my range of cooking abilities, so it would be great if any of the more talented chefs among our readership would try out one of these recipes and let the rest of us know how it turns out!
Although there are several recipes on the blog, I suggest trying out the Scallop and Sake Appetizer. This might just be my soft spot for juicy, sweet mangoes talking though!
This low- fat hors d’ oeuvre or appetizer pairs sake with the sweet, nutty flavour of scallops.
SUBSTITUTE: If fresh sweet mangoes are unavailable, you could substitute roasted and peeled sweet peppers.
