I can’t believe that last Friday was the first Friday in August – where has the summer gone? For our first August show, Rewind was on hand to entertain another sold out crowd with their ’50s and ’60s sound.
It’s been a marvelous Music at the Cannery season with some excellent bands, and with just three shows to go, there’s something for everyone. We would like to use this opportunity to thank our wonderful volunteers who come every week to help us set up, tear down, and run the concession, bar, and ticket sales. We truly couldn’t do this without them! We would also like to thank all of YOU for coming out and making the shows a success.
Next week, acoustic guitarist Les Finnigan creates music that is artistic, thought provoking, and rich with melodic motifs. He has been nominated for several awards for his music, won two guitar competitions, and is the producer of the West Coast Guitar Night which has been running annually since 1999. This will definitely be an evening to remember.
Join us Friday evening at 6:30 pm, rain (inside) or shine (outside). Admission by donation. Snacks and cash bar available. Music at the Cannery is produced in collaboration with the Beatmerchant Record Store in Steveston, and is generously sponsored by G&F Financial.
